The long journey begins in hotel at Heathrow. Sometimes I think we respect too little the challenge of transoceanic travel. It seems so easy and, compared to going in a ship, it is. But it takes a lot of energy and effort. It can be gruelling and punishing. It's even tougher with a baby.
