DOGDAYS OF YORK |
|
| The days have been getting longer here in York, some have
even been warm, and some have even been sunny. Gordon and I have been going on some marathon
walks, usually around eight miles or so, so not technically a marathon. The spring season has
brought a new lustiness to the young pup, and he has been showing a, shall we say, more than
friendly interest in other dogs lately. |
|
 |
Gordon shows everyone his balls. Er ...
ball. |
| | | | |
|
Am I blind or is that a lady dog in need of
my services? |
 |
What graceful ears you have. |

 |
You can see how high the river was on this
day. Usually it is fifteen or twenty feet below the level of the sidewalk. |
|
Trying to drink from what he thought was a
puddle, Gordon fell into the river, and a good shake-off was required. |
| | | | |
 |
Sweet filth. |
 |
While we were walking I heard this helicopter and
looked up to see it coming right at us. |
| | | | |
|
I thought they had finally come to silence my
criticisms of George Bush Jr, so I took cover. But I think they were just assessing the river's
flood risk. |
